Solskjaer Retires

Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly decided to hang up his boots due to injury.
The fans favourite has struggled with injury for a number of years, but has remained at Old Trafford where he has stamped his name in United's history during an eleven year spell at the club.
The Norwegian international netted well over 100 goals for United following his arrival from Molde, but one goal stands out above them all - the dramatic winner in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
The 34-year-old managed to recover from a lengthy injury lay-off to play a fringe role in United's title winning campaign last season, scoring 11 goals in all competitions.
However, Solskjaer did not feature during the pre-season campaign after undergoing a knee operation over the summer.
It was expected that the player would retire at the end of the season, but his struggles with injury appear to have forced himself into making an early decision, which may prompt Sir Alex Ferguson into entering the transfer market this week.
